Soparnik to go

A small ambassador of Dalmatian tradition in the heart of Zagreb

On Petrinjska Street, right next to one of the city’s busiest routes, a small spot has opened offering just one dish – soparnik. And not just any soparnik, but the real, traditional, UNESCO-protected one – baked on stone, brushed with olive oil and garlic, just like in Poljica.

This simple little place resembles a kiosk or street-food point – with only a few tables, a green-framed entrance and a clear sign, a minimalist interior and an irresistible aroma spreading down the street…
This isn’t a place where you sit for long or browse a large menu. You come here for the very thing the place was created for – a piece of homemade tradition in a practical format.

The menu consists solely of soparnik, but in several sizes. For takeaway, there are packs of 3, 6 or 15 pieces, and for tasting on the spot – 1 or 4 pieces paired with cold-pressed fresh juice. Larger orders of 25 or 50 pieces are also available.

We couldn’t resist trying a few pieces right away – and of course took a pack home as well.

Soparnik to go is not just a street-food spot; it’s a small ambassador of Dalmatian tradition in the heart of Zagreb. Authentic, convenient, centrally located, with a very good price-to-quality ratio – no fuss, just good soparnik made the way it’s always been made.
